Christmas Wrapping Ideas with Greenery
Every year, when thinking through Christmas wrapping ideas, I try and make my presents coordinated. This year, I decided to incorporate tree clippings into my Christmas gift wrapping! I utilized plain, brown wrapping paper and added the greenery for a natural look.

Option 1: A Tree
The tree definitely is one of the easier options.
First, I clipped three small branches, two about the same length and one a little bit longer. I placed the longest branch in between the two shorter options.

Next, I trimmed the greenery around the bottom of the longest branch. This gave the tree a “trunk”.
Finally, using my hot glue gun, I glued the tree into place, starting with the center branch!

Once all the branches were glued on, I cut a star out of white felt. I then glued the star to the top of the tree.

I decided the Christmas tree alone looked a little boring on my gift, so using white paint and a 2″ Chip Paint Brush, I added a little snow!
Tree Materials
- Hot Glue Gun
- Tree Branches
- Felt
- Scissors
- White Paint
- 2″ Chip Paint Brush

Option 2: A Wreath
The wreath was one of the easy ones! First, I traced a circle on a piece of cardboard. I actually used the top of my candle wax melter as it was the perfect size for the wrapped gift I planned to put the wreath on. I also considered using a coaster, really anything that is a perfect circle will work!

Next, I cut the circle out of the cardboard & cut the center out, to leave a ring.
Finally, I glued my tree branches all around the circle until the cardboard was fully covered.

I attached the wreath to the Christmas gift using holiday string. I then decided the wreath looked a bit boring and added a few red berries to give it some color!
Wreath Materials
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Tree Branches
- Cardboard
- Circle Template
- String or Ribbon
- Small Berries

Option 3: A Gnome
I love the way this little gnome turned out, I think he adds such a cute and fun look to a wrapped gift.

To begin, I drew a triangle on the felt, with a small oval at the top. This was to create the appearance that his hat was flopping over. Then I cut this shape out of the felt.

Next, I cut three branches that fit with the size of the felt hat. I glued the center bench on the gift first, followed by the two side branches.
I decided to add a small piece of string to the bottom of the felt hat. Then, I glued the hat onto the gift, overlapping the branches slightly.

Finally, I glued the gnome’s nose on, followed by a small bead at the tip of his hat. I added the same string wrapped around the gift for a bit more color to the brown paper wrapping!

- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Tree Branches
- Felt
- Beads
- String or Ribbon

Option 4: A Truck
This one is by far my favorite. It’s also probably the most complicated! To start, you have to have a printed picture of a truck! I put my picture in a Word Doc and sized it to fit the gift perfectly.

With my truck picture ready, I colored chalk all over the back of the piece of paper.

Then, I placed the paper onto the gift. I wanted to tape the piece of paper in place to ensure it didn’t move, but I didn’t want the tape to get stuck to the wrapping paper. So, I placed the tape on my pants a couple of times to reduce the stickiness! Then, I taped the truck picture in place.
Next, using a ball point pen, I traced over the outline of the truck.
TIP: Make sure you do not let your hand lay on the picture or you will transfer a lot of chalk, making it hard to see the outline!

I pulled up my paper and then traced over the chalk outline with a sharpie!
Finally, I glued a tree branch on to make it appear as if there was a Christmas tree in the back of the truck.

Once again, I felt the truck looked too boring! So using my 2″ chip paint brush & white paint, I added some snow.

- Hot Glue Gun
- Tree Branches

- Chalk
- Pen
- Tape
- Sharpie
- 2″ Chip Paint Brush

Option 5: A Pinecone
This is the easiest or all the Christmas wrapping ideas and gives such a simple, classic look to any brown paper packages!

I started by first wrapping my string around the gift. Then, I glued the two tree branches in place.

Finally, I glued the pinecone on top of the tree branches, and this gift was ready to give!
