DIY Disco Ball
This DIY Disco Ball is so fun and easy to make! They make for perfect New Years Eve decorations! I decided to make a couple mini disco balls, but you can make them as big (or as little) as you want. All you need for this DIY project is a ball & a couple of old CDs.

While I was decorating for Christmas, I came across an old wreath that was really worn. So, I decided to pull it apart and save the pieces for crafts! The silver ornaments I pulled off it were perfect for my DIY Disco Balls!
Step 1: Spray Paint Balls Silver
Since the balls I used were already silver, I was able to skip this step! If your balls are not silver, make sure you spray paint them first! You will be able to see the ball in between the disc pieces, so ensuring the ball is silver will guarantee a seamless look.
Step 2: Heat the Discs
Old CDs are perfect for this project given their mirror-like appearance. To cut a CD easily, it has to be heated.

Step 3: Cut the Disc
With the Disc warm, cut strips first. Then cut small squares to make the tiles. Try to keep the squares approximately the same size.

TIP: I cut one strip at a time and then placed the CD back into the water to make sure it stayed warm while cutting.
Step 4: Glue Disc Tiles
Using a hot glue gun, glue the disc tiles onto the ball. I started in the center of the ball and worked my way up & down.
TIP: to keep the ball from moving, place it into a small bowl and turn it while you glue!

With all the tiles glued on, I had my very own disco ball!
