Porch Redo Reveal
After looking at my Porch Redo Reveal, check out the other ORC contestants posts here!
We made it to Week 8 of the Spring ORC and that means reveal week! So many DIYs in such a short timeframe! I’m so happy with how the space turned out and am so grateful to the ORC for pushing me to get there!

Before Photos
This porch redo actually started last Fall! I actually painted this space with my mom and mother-in-law, fully intending to finish the space before Winter! However, life got in the way and after we finished painting the room, I didn’t touch it again until the Spring ORC. So I wanted to share what space we actually started with when we purchased this home last Summer!
I painted the room in Benjamin Moore Soft Fern, which was a massive improvement from the dark brown we started with!

Beadboard Ceiling
The biggest project we took on in this space was the beadboard ceiling! This was a happy little accident – I didn’t originally intend on this ceiling! However, the paint on the ceiling was interior paint and I couldn’t get it sanded completely off (and smooth). So I had to pivot! I also replaced the recessed lights with modern LED lights!
For a complete step by step guide, check out my post on the ceiling here!

Flower Boxes
I really wanted to bring in a ton of natural elements! This to me meant wood & plants – so of course, flower boxes were a must!
For a complete how-to guide on these flower boxes, check out my post here!

TV Cabinet & Fishing Rod Holder
Andrew & I really wanted a TV in the porch to be able to watch sports games! However, I didn’t want to see the TV – so I hid it with a custom built cabinet! I also wanted a place for Andrew to be able to set his fishing rods, so I built a fishing rod to hold up to 4 rods !

Floors
The old owners had put down outdoor carpet, I believe to try and keep bugs out. Unfortunately the deck was not screened-in from under the deck boards. My original plan was to get under there and staple on the screen! However, there just wanted enough space for me to be able to get under the deck. I had to pivot my plans and ultimately I ended up filled the gaps between the deck boards with black backer rod. It worked SO WELL and you can’t even tell it’s there!

After Photos
This space has undergone SUCH a big transformation! I am so in love with the room and can’t wait to sit out here and plan my next project!

Beautiful!
Thank you so much!! 🙂
